A focus on assets under development: WORFU in North Point, Hong Kong

Worfu is a 210,000 sq ft shopping mall, split across three floors, with a 732 ft frontage on Wharf Road, making it one of the largest malls in North Point North Point is a highly coveted district in midtown Hong Kong, renowned for its diversity and excellent connections 

The mall was acquired in 2018 by Chelsfield Asia Fund 1 in a joint venture with Pamfleet  Schroders – Since acquisition, large scale refurbishment works have been underway including modernising the façade, improving the building circulation, optimising layouts and reconfiguring the shops to give tenants better flexibility. 

During the works,  Chelsfield commissioned several pop art projects as a mean to bring more public art to people in North Point and encourage the community to come together; Camilla Walala created a bold mural to embellish the site during construction, HK Walls – a Hong Kong based non-profit organisation aimed to encourage young artists to showcase their works- created temporary exhibitions in four of the newly refurbished retail units and curator Wong Ka Ying brought seven artists to collectively create an indoor playground of art where visitors to WORFU could step away from everyday life and experience a moment of fun and pleasure.

The renovation works are expected to complete before the end of the year.
