Ludgate Hill
- 550,000 sqft, 4 acre site with Grade A office buildings
- Architects – Skidmore Owings & Merrill & Renton Howard Wood Levin
- Completed in 1992
Originally on a viaduct, Holborn Station was rebuilt in an tunnel underneath Ludgate Hill. One of the key criteria was that the gradient of Ludgate Hill should not be too steep so as to allow the horses of the Royal Procession to make their way to St Pauls.
The complex construction created a new space with successful office buildings of a high quality. Located at the eastern end of Fleet Street, the aim to recreate a modern version of a village square is evidenced in a space for pedestrians, connecting Holborn Viaduct to Fleet Street.
