Both hotels operate a private membership concept, attracting businesses with a high volume of travel by offering accomodation at a discount in return for pre-committed room nights.
The Gracechurch Street hotel is on one of the City’s principal thoroughfares, at the heart of the financial district, centred around Lombard Street, Fenchurch Street and Threadneedle Street. Originally a banking hall dating from the early 1900s, it was converted to hotel use at the turn of the millennium.
The hotel at St Paul’s, Ludgate Hill, occupies a highly prominent corner position immediately opposite St Paul’s Cathedral.

The business was set up by the Invista team in June 2005, with initial funding provided by members of the HBOS group and subsequently Chelsfield Partners. The fund built up a well-diversified portfolio of income producing assets (20 properties across 7 Continental European countries) with an aggregate value of €488.3m (30 September 2006).
IERET successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange in December 2006.
